Let me come into view
A form
A light
A flickering flame
Let me grow and change and exist
Celebrate myself
Song of myself
The song of myself sings into the day, and night
Is alive and free
The song of myself
My essence, my beauty
A lame duck and a beautiful swan, together
Ugly as well as light
Human and vulnerable as well as strong and present
I am all these things
I make mistakes
I give love
I lie
I fuck up
I grow
I am unpredictable
Late sometimes
And I change my mind, going with the flow
I am honest in the world, developed and still a child
Moments of flashback and insanity
Clarity and generosity
And a flickering light
Clear flame
Shine my, bring my light into, the world
We all have our light
Let us bring our lights together to illuminate difference and our humanity as members of a common race
All different
All precious
Shine your light
